Escuque means country in the clouds. It is a pleasant place in the Venezuelan Andes, at 1300 meters above sea level; you can enjoy a temperate climate and you are pleasant all year round. For this reason, groups also come from the distant caliente coast. The complex of many buildings slopes down on the back of the mountain, maintains the characteristics of the mountain, between boulders and stony areas, but also immersed in lush vegetation, rich in brightly colored flowers, red, yellow, orange hibiscus, bungavillea, poinsettia trees, daisies and then again agave and succulents of considerable size. In the upper part of the park in the middle of the pines there is the Via Crucis and a small church, the chapel of Our Lady of Coromoto, the grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes, amphitheater corners for meetings and benches here and there.
In the lower part of the park grow in pleasant disorder bananas, papayas, wide-leaved plants with unknown fruits. Among the stones run pumpkins.
In stepped fenced areas live roosters and free-range galllines that wake us up in the morning at 4.30 and continue to be heard all day, in harmony with the birds that postpone their call from time to time.
Over the years the buildings have increased to favor the development of the work that gradually assumed the current appearance of a reception house.
The sisters have organized themselves to accommodate several groups at the same time, giving themselves, conferences, meditations, animation.
Vividly coordinated by Sr. Maria Palmira and Sr. Carmen, Groups of various kinds, movements, associations, parishes follow one another weekly and the house is always inhabited. Even the schools of the territory, private and public, do their school weeks here.
