Community of Punalur

We the Sisters of Providence Rosminians are indeed blessed by God to venture into new mission in Nellimugal, Punalur. A long awaited dream of the Congregation came true on 28 June 2019. We three Sisters started our new mission journey. There is much mission work in this area; people are very poor and their living standard is very low. Their faith is very shallow, no proper education, health care, transportation system or jobs. Due to this, people face many problems for their daily living. People are not regular for Sunday Mass and other religious activities because there is no proper catechesis and the Church is also far from them.

Some of our mission activities.

1) visiting families.
2) teaching them basic knowledge about faith and religion.
3) helping in the parish activities.
4) personality development classes.
5) youth ministry.
6) family welfare activities.
7) liturgy and choir training.
8) some competition to find out their talents and so on.
