Community of Chiavari

Casa Rosmini – Piazza Torriglia, 1, 16043, Chiavari (GE)

Our community has been running the “Antonio Rosmini holiday home” since the last century. There are many sisters who have dedicated their lives to it, have welcomed many people, have loved this work, which was a summer colony for children and young people, kindergarten, sharing with the nearby parish of Saline. Now it continues with a hospitality project that becomes welcome throughout the year, carrying out above all a service of attention to the person. It welcomes all those who wish to spend a holiday in a serene, quiet and friendly environment, breathing healthy air. It is an ideal place for a stay of rest and recreation a few steps from the sea.

We are six sisters who perform different tasks at home assisted by external staff who collaborate for the excellent cuisine and guest service. At the center of the House there is the chapel for moments of personal or community prayer. The chaplain Mons. Francesco Isetti, canon of the cathedral and head of the diocesan liturgical office, helps us a lot to take care of the morning Eucharistic celebration and, in meditation, forms us for an intense Eucharistic life.

The Manager sr. Elena guides, organizes and coordinates the House efficiently; takes care of the welcome, guarantees a good family cuisine and accompanies guests in their needs. We Sisters all try simply, every day, to imitate the Lord by offering friendship, cordiality, serene relationships, supporting the small and great needs of each one, praying for those who ask us for this prayerful help.

We look for opportunities to celebrate with guests, animate evenings of prayer and joy; we cultivate fraternal bonds between nuns, staff, friends from Chiava who meet on special occasions.
We are known on the territory and approached for a cordial greeting, a good word to listen to; we provide help for the spiritual animation of the sick and the elderly in two structures for the elderly and disabled; let us go to homes as ministers of the Eucharist.
